Temperatures had soared on this early Spring weekend. Meltwaters were threatening to overflow the banks of the Naches River. We drove up into the mountains and somehow managed to get our vehicle completely stuck in a snow bank. We made camp in a level spot not far from the car. That night a small truck with 4 cute guys who - were completely lost - made their way to our camp. I helped the boys with directions back to the highway, and they gave me a brand new tow rope. Wohoo! The next morning we hiked a few miles to the bottom of the mountain to ask for help. Thankfully a couple of men with a big truck (and our tow rope) got us out of the snow bank and on our way to more adventures. :-D After all that, it felt great to wash and relax next to this little babbling brook.
